Why The Best Plans Must Consider The Worst Circumstances
What makes a plan a good plan? Definitely not what we have always be told.
I think it is fair to say that most plans don’t work out. I don’t think this is a pessimistic view, but a simple statement of fact. We don’t need to be particularly observant to notice that, most of the time, nothing goes according to plan.
In my opinion, this doesn’t make plans any less useful than we may have thought them to be. Plans are extremely helpful and undoubtedly necessary. At least, good plans are. It’s just that plans aren’t good per se, and I don’t think our general idea of a good plan is either.

We are taught that good plans are meticulous, extensive and indelible. We are taught that good plans must be followed through regardless of the circumstances and their constant flux. We are taught that good plans are more important than those implementing them.
Possibly, the best aspect of a plan is the fact that it can be devised under no stress and in the optimum state of mind. This is extraordinarily powerful, because it will provide us with the right course of action at a…
