The All-Important Decision Of Choosing The Right Travel Companions
It is a decision we make much more often than we may think.
I know just the trick to be more miserable: choose the wrong companions for the upcoming journey. It’s so simple one would expect people not to have a problem avoiding such a fate. Alas, all too often we ignore the source of our plight either because we can’t see it or because we choose to look elsewhere.
Travelling Together
Anyone who has travelled with friends will know how horrible the experience can be. It doesn’t matter if our friends are good people. It doesn’t matter if they are great friends! They might still be terrible travel companions. We might be, too. There is a certain chemistry that is necessary for two or more people to be able to travel together. The same applies to cohabitation, but we go on holiday with friends far more often than we move in together. Besides, travelling can exert some extra pressure. This is inevitable when having to plan schedules and adhere to them. Similarly, improvising in a foreign country can be stressful. Old friendships that once seemed unbreakable have perished in the blink of an eye after a vacation gone wrong.
