Thank you for the thoughtful response! There is much to discuss. In fact, I have had wonderful managers and I have been a pretty decent manager myself, I believe. However, the current way of choosing managers is – in my very humble opinion – a lottery. In well ordered and fair communities, societies or any other type of organisation, the choice of manager is a natural one. I've worked and played in teams where there's been no doubt as to who would be in charge. Maybe someone is the best candidate to lead in a certain situation, maybe someone else is better when the situation changes. To think that it is possible to organise ourselves without hierarchies is a radical thought, I know. I also know it's possible, but I suspect it's not for everyone. In any case, I wasn't trying to convince anybody, but to offer food for thought, which I'm glad it did in your case! In turn, you have done the same with me for which I'm extremely grateful. I love Medium for this type of discussion. :)
