How To Deal With Decisions That Time Threatens To Make

Sometimes there seems to be no solution. Sometimes a situation seems impossible. Sometimes a decision cannot be made.

I suspect we have felt like this all at some point. Of course, there is always a solution, a situation is never impossible and one decision or another will inevitably be made.

The problem is that we may not like the only solution available, which makes us think of the situation as being impossible. However, the only thing that is impossible is our satisfaction. The situation is possible from the very moment we find ourselves in it. If we don’t like any of the solutions we have come up with, though, it is easier to think that the situation is impossible than to accept that, right now, we are not good enough for the circumstances at hand.

Making tough decisions becomes more bearable when there is something to gain. Making tough decisions to simply stay alive is slightly more difficult. Making tough decisions because there is nothing else to do is hard to accept. Life is full of this sort of situation, but let us picture an extreme case — they are always more memorable.
