Only The Ones We Don’t Ask

A long time ago, I realised the stupidity of not asking questions. A clear sign of obtusity is when we try to figure things out alone. I believe the origin is a poor education system which makes children stand to attention and focus on passing the next test. As a kid, I needed to know things in advance, and I always tried to impress the teachers thus. We can tell a system is dysfunctional when a student thinks they should already know everything about something they are supposed to be learning. Since then, I have only worried about not asking enough of them. I would scrutinise what I had just learned to ensure there were no lingering doubts. Suddenly, questions were opportunities, and I have seen them as such ever since. Every time someone wiser than us allows us to pick their brains, they are presenting us with a gift, one of tremendous generosity and unparalleled benefits.
