An Easy Way To Tune Into Universal Balance

Critical Moments

There are critical moments in our lives when the universe seems to pull a deus ex machina. When there seems to be no entry or exit, a door appears seemingly out of nowhere. Unless we have been extremely unlucky, we all probably received an improbable phone call or bumped into a friend in an unlikely situation when we most needed it. On a board game, it would be that final moment when only a specific double roll of the dice would win it for us, and it does. My belief in universal balance helps me endure streaks of bad luck, convinced it is only a matter of time before the tables turn.

Helping Hands

These past few years, I have noticed that, unsurprisingly, the more aware we are of this almost metaphysical balance, the more we can tune into it. If we feel we are down on our luck and give up all hope, it is unlikely we will see the hand that fortune will eventually lend us. Conversely, if we come to expect it, our eyes will naturally look for it and find it where we once might have missed it.

Impermanence

I am not arguing we should never be sad or grow forlorn when facing adversity because things will doubtlessly improve. There are two obvious reasons this…
